Celebrate the Fourth of July with this quick and easy table runner. This simple project uses a zigzag stitch to appliqué the stars made out of a patriotic fabric. Materials:
- ½ Yard of red white and blue star print
- Purchased red felt table runner
- Madeira® embroidery thread for appliqué
- Sizzix Big Shot or Plus Cutting System
- Sizzix Bigz Die Stars (656339)
- Basic sewing supplies
Tools:
- Baby Lock sewing machine
- Baby Lock Cut-Away Fusible Applique Stabilizer
Steps:

Cut four five-inch wide strips from the red white and blue fabric.

Fuse the Baby Lock Cut-Away Fusible Applique Stabilizer to the back side of the fabric strips while following the manufacturer’s directions.

Set up the Sizzix Big Shot cutting system for cutting.

Place the fused fabric sections over the star die.

Run the die sections with the appropriate sized spacers to cut the star shapes.

Lay the purchased felt runner on a flat surface.

Peel off the paper from the fused star sections and place them on the table runner randomly spaced.
