Since 1992, Emily has taught serger and sewing classes in a variety of settings including fabric stores, her local Baby Lock dealership and the local community college. She has also led several workshops in sewing, sewing and embellishments at the local and state level for 4H Clubs and 4H Leaders. She has gained recognition as a certified Sewing Educator through the Home Sewing Association.
Having mastered sewing at an early age, she has been designing and constructing her own wardrobe since the age of 13. Emily has an excellent foundation in all areas of sewing, but garment construction still remains her favorite. Emily has several accomplishments to boast of including articles and garments appearing in books and magazines. In addition, she has won many ribbons at the State and County Fairs for her many projects and garments.
Being computer savvy, Emily incorporates computer technology into her sewing room and her classes, with her favorite addition being the Designer’s Gallery™ products.
Whether sewing, serging, embellishing, digitizing or working with an embroidery design, Emily loves sharing her passion for sewing with others.
